My cousin is in pharmacy school- her husband is a delivery man with no education, and doesn’t make much money. He is already feeling threatened by her education and experience. He is unhappy about the costs of her education, doesn’t like the huge amount of time she is gone. I think that the marriage will not work out- the differences between them are too great. I am encouraging her to keep up with school, and afraid that he will drag her down. Aren’t the divorce stats bad of a highly educated and well paid woman with a blue collar man?

I have no idea what the statistics are, but it’s every individual couple for themselves. Anyways, it doesn’t sound like it would work based on this one paragraph of info. If they are married, it’s too late to be having these thoughts anyways. Going to expensive schools dsn’t grnty higher pay anyways.
there are tons of unemployed and underpaid college grads out there today. If he dsn’t like it then she needs to choose between her marriage and possible future. I’d personally stick with my marriage, but everyone has a right to their own choice. gl
Career women don’t have successful marriages. Her husband must have low self-esteem. Read the link.

depends on the fortitude of the couple
my ex has 2 degrees and I dropped outta college to help her finish
I make twice as much money as she does – that wasn’t the reason 4 the divorce – just sayin education is not a 100% success guarantee…
she made more $ than me for 2 yrs and that ddnt bother me at all ..we were in the same house and I was benefiting from it jus as much as she was
